Bellydance
Technique classes at DWJ are multi-level and require no prerequisites.
First timers as well as experienced dancers are welcome. The
class focuses on learning and refining the basic techniques
found in Mid-East dance by working with a particular skill
set each month. Benefits include weight loss, muscle toning,
flexibility, stress reduction, and feminine empowerment. Students
are led through a warm-up, strengthening and stretching exercises,
across the floor and center combinations, and a cool down.
While weekly attendance is recommended, the nature of the
class allows for drop ins. This is an excellent class for
those looking for a fun way to exercise, students wishing
to refine their dancing ability, and individuals unable to
commit to attending every week.
